With Two Weeks To Prepare, UCLA Waits for USC
To read the posts, many UCLA Bruin fans may be giving up on their team on the eve of what could be an amazing win. Let's think about this for a moment. It's not as if USC is unbeatable. In fact, they've looked very beatable much of the time.
UCLA just came off a 25-7 victory against Oregon State, who did recently defeat Southern Cal. Moreover, USC was fortunate to get by a Cal team that should have won but may very well have been afraid of success.
UCLA will beat USC. Read it.
Yep, I'm prone to picking upsets but I think this one's going to stick. The stars are perfectly aligned:
1) All the media's picking USC to win
2) USC coach Pete Carroll said Cal was the best team they faced this season -- they've not played UCLA.
3) UCLA's had a lot of time to prepare and practice, and maybe just install those plays they didn't use all season long.
4) USC is playing for the right to play for the National Championship.
5) UCLA already knows where they're going to play a bowl, now they can focus on USC.
6) Coach Karl Dorell has a lot to prove and could do it all here.
I'm telling ya, it's really lined up for an upset. But remember, you read it here, first.
